Project One by ArtPrize - September 7 - October 27
Beginning September 7th, experience ArtPrize in a new form. Five artists will implement larger than life structures throughout the city. Events including interactive art, community bike rides and performances by local musicians. If you want to immerse yourself within the culture of Grand Rapids, this event is one to attend.
Mayors Clean Up - September 14
Join the West Michigan Environmental Action Council (WMEAC) to help keep our parks, water and community clean. This city wide clean up starts at 8am at 6th Street park. The mayor herself, Rosalynn Bliss, will speak at this event as we join together to keep Grand Rapids clean.
Fulton Street Market - Now - September/October
Whether you are looking for a farmers market or art market, head to Fulton Street. Fresh local produce is available every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 8am to 2pm - May through October. The artisan mart features homemade artwork and goods every Sunday from 11am to 2pm - now through September 29th.
Grand Rapids African American Arts and Musical Festival (GRAAMF) - September 21
On September 21st and 22nd head to Martin Luther King Park to celebrate history and culture through music, performing arts, dancing and food. The festival will feature artists including Raheem Devaughn. This family friendly event is one you will not forget.
