Safety Measures & Precautions

The health and safety of our associates and guests is a top priority. As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we are actively monitoring guidance provided by public health officials, and we want to assure our visitors that additional sanitary measures are in place to maintain a healthy environment and limit the spread of germs. In addition to our regular and very thorough cleaning procedures, we are currently taking extra precautions, including:

  • Housekeeping is using EcoLab Peroxide Cleaner and Disinfectant Spray on all surfaces that guests or employees might touch in common areas, including the front desk, guest elevators, lobby restrooms, stairwell handrails and more.
  • Inside guest rooms, we are using EcoLab Peroxide Cleaner and Disinfectant Spray and always change to new, clean rags between rooms.
  • All high touch surfaces are being cleaned and disinfected several times throughout the day in guest corridors.
  • Guest check-in reception area is being cleaned every 30 minutes including all counters, pens, phones, and PIN pads.

Grand Rapids is well known our locally made beer, however the coffee scene is becoming increasingly prominent as new  shops appear around the city. From artisan pour overs to the classic cappuccino, our local coffee spots will appease first time coffee-drinkers to expert caffeine fiends.

  • PaLatte Coffee - This coffee shop has more than lattes and brewed coffee as local artists line their art across the walls to create a gallery. 
  • Local Mocha Coffee- While you sip your coffee in this mom and pop shop, enjoy the local art for sale on each wall.

  • Squibb Coffee & Wine Bar - Experience the best of both worlds at this coffee and wine bar.
  • Outside Coffee Co. - If you have ever wondered what it would be like to drink coffee inside a geo dome- look no further. The Outdoor Coffee Co. serves drinks outdoors. If the weather is chilly, do not worry, these geo domes are heated.

  • Roots Brew Shop - Scattered with business professionals and early risers, this coffee shop is the ideal location to meet over a cup of coffee and browse the potted succulents on each table.
  • Lyon Street Cafe - Lyon Street Cafe provides a rotating deli and pastry menu, specifically crafted to accompany coffee and other warm brews.  
  • The Sparrows Coffee, Tea, Newsstand - Located in the historic East Hills neighborhood, The Sparrows is a social spot for crafted coffee, organic tea and the latest newspaper.

  • Stovetop Coffee Roasters Cafe - This  modern coffee shop recently opened. It is a quick drive down Fulton Street and features housemade coffee blends. 
  • Madcap Coffee Co. - Madcap Coffee Co. recently gained popularity in Grand Rapids, opening three locations in the surrounding area. Local favorite coffee blends include the 'Six one Six' and the 'Lake Effect'.
