Fall in love with fall in Grand Rapids. October marks the beginning of fall. And what better way to jump into fall than attending some of these great fall activities happening in Grand Rapids?

Carrie Underwood - Denim & Rhinestones Tour (October 18th)

Experience the music of the Country music legend live at Van Andel Arena. Carrie Underwood stole hearts across America after winning the fourth season of American Idol and has since established herself as a superstar in the genre. This tour is to celebrate the release of her 9th studio album and is sure to be a can’t-miss event for any lovers of Country music.

Zoo Goes Boo (October 21-23rd, 28-30th)

John Ball Zoo is a Grand Rapids gem that offers visitors the chance to view more than 2,000 animals and have more petting and interactive experiences than anywhere else in Michigan. It’s enjoyable to visit during the last week of October when the zoo is transformed during the annual ‘Zoo Goes Boo’ Halloween celebration. There will be trick-or-treating opportunities, special holiday-themed concessions, spooky decorations, and villains to interact with as you wander through the zoo’s exhibits.

Grand Rapids' Dia de los Muertos Festival (October 30th)

This festival is a beautiful opportunity to experience and explore Hispanic culture and heritage while also honoring loved ones who have passed on. There will be altars dedicated to departed friends and family members and a walking parade from 2-3 pm to commemorate the entire holiday. The rest of the celebration will last all day.  It will include activities like crafts and workshops, and feature live entertainment and food.

Happy Fall Everyone!
