Rock the Lot, starring Mitchell Tenpenny, with Matt Schuster and Brenden Monroe, is the perfect way to start the month of Independence! Grand River Kayaking Adventures (Throughout June)

Kayaking adventures might have started in May, but this is the perfect addition for any June itinerary. GR outside provides all the equipment and instruction needed to go paddling down the river. They offer 3 different levels great for families with kids (ages 10 and up) up to those with more intermediate knowledge who want to hone their skills. Book your kayaking adventure below.

Grand Rapids’ Annual 4th of July Parade (July 4)

What’s Independence Day without a parade? Grand Rapids’ Annual 4th of July Parade will start at 9:30 am. The parade route begins at the intersection of Northville and Plainfield, continuing on to Leelanau and ending at Northville Park with a raising of the flag. Enjoy floats from organizations around Grand Rapids. Once again, kids can join in on their decorated bikes with parental supervision.

Frozen Touring (July 11-23)

Let it go, let it go! The touring performance of Disney’s popular Frozen is coming to the DeVos Performance Hall in Grand Rapids July 11-23. Join Anna, Elsa, and Olaf as they bring the magic to LIFE. You’re not going to want to miss this amazing performance.

Day of Play Celebration (July 30)

On July 30, head to the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum for the 6th annual Day of Play Celebration. The purpose of the Day of Play is to encourage children and families to play! This year’s Day of Play is from noon-4 pm and will include a closed street that brings the play to Rainbow Road! You’ll see crafts, animals, yard games, bubbles, and other interactive experiences, as well as free admission to the Children’s Museum!
