Zoo Goes Boo at John Ball Zoo is an amazing event for children and parents alike! Decked out in Halloween decorations and lights, and of course candy, the annual event is also making some changes to accommodate with current CDC guidelines. To keep guests safe they have included safety measures like mask requirements for any persons over 5 years of age, limited capacity, and date-specified time entries.
Bring a candy bag, and your best Halloween costume! Children are encouraged to dress up (adults are encouraged to dress appropriately), and required masks can be decorated to match the costume. There are still some available dates before the 31st, so get your tickets here before they are all gone!
Grand Rapids Civic Theatre Drive-In at the DeltaPlex in Grand Rapids is a great way to get into the spooky-spirit while also staying socially distant. The live-action on stage performances can be listened to on the radio through the comfort of your own family vehicle. Friendly for all ages this year's performance is the story of Dracula and is sure to give you some terror for Halloween! The Haunt is a frightening Halloween attraction every year, and this year they still have all the same scares, just 6 ft apart! In their COVID-19 statement, The Haunt stated: "The Haunt is committed to the health and safety or our guests, employees, and the creatures in our care. We have worked diligently with state and local health officials, outside consultants and attraction industry leaders to enhance our already strict health, safety and cleanliness standards. These protocols and guidelines will be modified based on evolving industry standards and methodologies, public health and governmental directives, and advancing scientific knowledge on the transmissibility of COVID-19."
