The Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Downtown is very excited to be participating in ArtPrize again this year as a hosting venue. We have 13 talented artists who will be displaying their artwork both in our lobby, and outdoors. We cannot wait for you to see them all! In the weeks leading up to the city-wide event, we’d like to introduce you to each of our artists and give you a sneak peek as to what to expect if you are visiting us this fall. Without further ado, meet our first artist, Mark Edwards!
This is Mark’s second year entering in the annual competition. His piece this year, Rolling Stones Keep Rolling, reflects his love for music and restoring instruments. The piece showcases the journey of Rolling Stone Magazine from its inception. 4 antique barn doors hold original stories from the magazines, as well as other assorted authentic documents, on top of original artwork. The restored guitars, lighted marquee letters and 101-FM sign will surely make this piece impossible to miss!
